Thanks to the Ulster Community College Foundation, education extends beyond the classroom at SUNY Ulster. As a cultural hub for the region, community members, students, faculty and staff enjoy live arts events, including musicians, writers and poets, and public lectures from renowned experts.
The Foundation’s programing strengthens and enhances the learning experience for students, and inspires achievement in both the cultural arts and academics.
Alumni Hall of Fame
Selection for induction into SUNY Ulster's Alumni Hall of Fame is based on professional and personal accomplishments, community service, and/or special or unique situations which qualify the individual as distinguished. Learn more
Anita Williams Peck Public Speaking Competition
Kingston High School students compete for scholarship awards for the best public speaking presentations. Each student delivers a five-minute persuasive speech on a current event topic before a panel of judges. Learn more

Krembs Family Innovation Award
The Krembs Family Innovation Award recognizes SUNY Ulster faculty and staff members who demonstrate their ability to propose and implement innovative solutions within the context of our mission at the College and/or who undertake work within the community that significantly improves a pre-existing condition. In Memory of Barbara A. Adams, Past President Emerita, this program helps the ever-rising
financial needs of our students to ensure their success. Through the purchase of symbolic
lights, donors help fund transportation, housing, books, and assistance. Learn more
New Start for Women
New Start for Women is an innovative program to help women in Kingston and Ulster County who are living below the federal poverty level* or ALICE household survival budget** earn a one-year SUNY Ulster business certificate, leading to living wage employment and economic mobility. The program, along with community partners also offer a wide variety of support services at no cost, designed to help students overcome the numerous barriers to success they might face. Learn more
