Gain the education and training needed to play a critical role in providing treatment and support to community members. As a student of the College’s Nursing program, you’ll gain critical skills from our innovative curriculum, supportive faculty, state-of-the-art equipment, and hands-on learning. Local hospitals and health agencies are utilized as an extension of the College laboratory, providing on-site experience in various medical settings.
This program is accredited by the: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) www.acenursing.org. In addition to ACEN the program is also accredited by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). While this program can be taken part-time, nursing courses must be taken consecutively, and it is recommended that they be taken without interruption. SUNY Ulster's Nursing program cannot be completed during the evening.

Upon satisfactory completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse Licensure (NCLEX-RN). This opens up local and nationwide employment opportunities for graduates in many settings with diverse populations.
