TRIO
TRIO is a unique student support program helping eligible students succeed academically.
Through ongoing contact throughout the student’s time at SUNY Ulster, TRIO provides
academic and transfer planning and guidance as well as help in course selection, completing
the FAFSA and scholarship applications, study skills support, resume building, interview
skill development and more.
Eligibility
You are eligible to participate in TRIO/Student Support Services if you meet two of the following requirements:
- Have financial need determined by family or individual taxable income, and
- First in your family to attend college
- Have a documented disability
Services include:
- Transition-to-college workshops and success seminars
- Structured first year experience addressing learning styles and needs
- Tutoring, mentoring, study groups & cultural enrichment
- Individualized academic, financial, personal, career, and transfer counseling
- Study skills assistance including note-taking, test preparation, and time and stress management
Student Support Services is a federally funded U.S. Department of Education TRIO grant
program funded by the U.S. Department of Education grant.
